This is a Made in USA, 4" Aluminum Driveshaft for the 2012-2013 Boss Mustangs. This driveshaft is a whopping 19lbs lighter than the OEM 2-piece driveshaft!! Saving 19 pounds
of a rotating mass is VERY significant. In 1/4 mi drag racing, these shafts have proven to shave .2 seconds off of quarter mile times!! We think most Boss owners may enjoy
road courses - so just imagine the acceleration benefits again, again, and again as you accelerate our of every corner. This is probably one of the best performance bang-for-the-buck
mods that you can do for your Boss.
Constructed of Alcoa 6061 T-6 seamless aluminum certifed tubing in a 4" diameter. It is a "beefy" yet very light driveshaft. The OEM shaft weight in at just over 38 lbs and this
driveshaft weighs a mere 19lbs!! Each driveshaft is precision machine welded and then computerized balanced using state of the art equipment.
This is an absolute gem of a product. Fitment is perfect. The driveline kit comes with a brand new pinion flange. Some companies offer their driveshfts with adapter plates but the
right way to do it is to have a pinion flange that will mate directly to the driveshaft. This method reduces weight and provides the best balanced system available. Flip through all
of the product pics attached. Pics show installation in a 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca model. There is a lot of clearance. (We were doing an exhaust upgrade at the same time, so we were
able to snap some pictures of the driveshaft without the exhaust in the foreground.) There is plenty of clearance with LARGE diameter, high quality exhausts like the Kook's models that
we offer. Note: If you are lowering the car MORE than 1.25" in the rear, you may need an adjustable 3rd link.
