This is the H-Pipe by Kook's which is unique to the Boss 2012+ Mustangs. This H-Pipe allows owners the ability to retain their OEM side pipes and owners have the option to shape the sound of the car but using exhaust discs with various hole diameters. As OEM, Ford equips the Boss Mustangs with an block plate with a pencil-size (about 1/4") hole. Owners can retain this plate - or remove the plate completey for a slightly louder - more "gurglie" sound. For a sound in between these two extremes, owners can ,modify their Ford plate (enlarging the hole) or look to the aftermarket for alternatives. Cool Tech recommends this H-Pipe over the other alternatives as, let's face it, the sound of the car plays a big factor on the amount of enjoyment that we get from driving it. With other mid-pipe alternatives, the Boss-unique side pipes are eliminated and you no longer have the ability to tailor the exhaust note to your own personal tastes.

Choose this part to put the Boss 302 unique mid-pipe in your cart. This part number comes WITHOUT catalytic converters. (Note: CATs are shown in pics but this part would NOT include CATs and can only be used off-road. Expect that the mid-pipe without CATs will have a 3-4HP increase over the CAT version.

Please note that the Boss 302 sidepipes are unlikely to add any measureable performance benefit, but they allow the owner to have some additional control and flexibility to control the sound. By varying the size of the hole in the side plate block-off plates, the owner can customize the sound of the car... from mild to wild. For maximimum weight savings, owners can choose a "conventional" H-pipe or X-Pipe. As stated previously, all 3 mid-pipes - H-Pipe 302, Conventional H-Pipe, or Conventional X-pipe (pictured) can be ordered with or without CATS.
