Do I need Cool Tech License Plate Spacers?

• Ford advises against plastic license plate frames because the heat from the GT engine will melt them. The Cool Tech spacers serve two purposes:
  • The spacers allow the license plate to add an additional 57% of vent area in an area that gets critically hot
  • The spacers will protect the painted surfaces of the GT from being scratched by the (recommended) metal license plate frame
• If you've already mounted your license plate, you're not too late to install the Cool Tech spacers. Help your GT to vent hot air more easily while also protecting your paint from metal to metal contact. Remember, the Cool Tech spacers ONLY come into contact with the shoulder of the Nutserts!
