The Jeep Wrangler Owner's Manual recommends disconnecting the battery before flat-towing the Jeep.  The reason is that the Jeep must be towed with the ignition key in the first position to un-lock the steering wheel.  Unfortunately, this first key position is also the accessory position.  Even with all accessories such as radio, fan, etc. in the "off" position, the Jeep continues to draw current.  A fully charged battery will be drained in about 5-6 hours of towing.

This battery disconnect is VERY easy to install onto the negative terminal of the Jeep's battery.  Once installed, a simple twist of the green knob can connect or disconnect the battery.  You'll wonder how you lived without it!
