The Hood Strut Kit is very functional, and
very easy to
install. The kit includes a pair of gas struts perfectly
sized
for your new JK. Because of the mounting orientation, there
is no
upward-force exerted on the hood while in its closed
position.
However, if you release the latches, the gas struts will lift and hold
the hood after you raise it the first couple of inches. In
addition to the included gas struts, the kit includes detailed
instructions and all of the mounting hardware. ALL of the
hardware - including the strut balls, brackets, and even the mounting
screws are stainless steel for long-lasting durability
