Ford GT Splitter Struts - Adjustable

Shown on the left is a set of (3) OEM splitter struts.  They are made from aluminum and as-new the bottom tab has a more than 90-degree bend in it to achieve a proper fitment.  The trouble is that when the Ford GT splitter contacts the ground, these OEM struts bend too easily and the CANNOT be bent back to their OEM length without breaking.  Frankly, these struts are probably to poorest designed part on the Ford GT.

These Cool Tech replacement struts are constructed from stainless steel, are stronger than the OEM struts and can be adjusted in length to remove the undesirable "frown" that is present in many (most?) GT's.  These replacement struts utilize the OEM mounting locations and no modifications to the car are required.  The struts are mounted behind black vertical grill reinforcements and, as such, they are not visible. These are suitable for 2005-2006 Ford GT's - with or without the front grills (most 2005 cars.)

Replacing your OEM struts is quite easy.  You just need to remove the fasteners across the front edge of the splitter allowing it to sag down enough for you to remove the (T27 Torx fasteners at the top of each strut. You will install the included ball-stud in place of the T27 Torx screws and then you can snap the top of the new strut to these ball studs.  The bottom of the new struts are attached exactly like OEM - sandwiched between the lower bumper cover and the splitter.
